Homemade Pizza Pockets – Tortilla-Style & Air Fryer Friendly!
Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and totally customizable!
Ingredients:
- Large tortilla wraps
- Mozzarella cheese, grated
- Your choice of pizza meats: chopped ham, pepperoni, cooked bacon, sausage, etc.
- A Spice Affair Italian Herb Blend
- Olive oil
- A Spice Affair Pink Himalayan Salt or GPS Blend
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp A Spice Affair Nonna’s Spaghetti Seasoning
Instructions:
- Cut each large tortilla wrap in half.
- Fold each half into thirds to form a cone shape.
- In a bowl, combine grated mozzarella, your choice of pizza meats, and a generous sprinkle of A Spice Affair Italian Herb Blend.
- Fill each tortilla cone with the cheesy pizza mixture.
- Seal the edges of the cone by pressing with a fork then flip over and press on the other side too
- Brush each side with olive oil, and sprinkle with A Spice Affair Pink Himalayan Salt or GPS Blend.
- Air fry at 375°F for about 5 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
For the Dipping Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 can of crushed tomatoes with 2 tbsp Nonna’s Spaghetti Seasoning.
- Heat gently while the pizza pockets cook.
- Pour into a small bowl for dipping.
These are fun to make, freeze well, and are always a hit with the family!
